Who are we?
Founded by the State in October 1972 to be in charge of the management of all the recovered agricultural estates, the SODEA (Agricultural Development Company) constitutes today an important economic entity that plays a major role in the development of agriculture, in general, and arboriculture in particular.

Its actual capital is 672,5 million dirhams, and the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development, Water and Forests is the President of its Supervision Council.

First employer in the rural area (more than 20 000 jobs), with a turnover of about 700 million dirhams, 50% out of which comes from export. SODEA deals with different activities in the field of agriculture, farm-industry, nursery, cattle-breeding, as well as products commercialisation on the national market as well as for export.

With a directly managed patrimony of 49 618 ha (figure updated 30th September, 2001), SODEA is present all over the national territory, through its Regional Departments and 198 Production Units.
